This policy describes the current website as it operates today. If we add accounts, analytics, a working email subscription service, or other data-collection features, we will update this policy before or when those features launch.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to The Arcady Oboukhov Review at arcadyoboukhov.com, operated and published by Oboukhov Entertainment LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It does not govern third-party websites, repositories, downloads, or services linked from an article.

2. Information we collect

When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure and content-delivery provider may automatically process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, including:

  • IP address and approximate network location;
  • browser, device, and operating-system information;
  • requested pages, referring page, date, and time;
  • security events, errors, and diagnostic information.

The light/dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser using local storage. The public site does not create a visitor account or advertising profile.

The newsletter form currently provides an on-page confirmation only. It does not transmit or store the email address entered. Please do not rely on it as an active subscription service until this policy and the form state otherwise.

Authorized editors receive a secure, HTTP-only session cookie after signing into the private administration area. That cookie is used solely for authentication and security.

3. How we use information

Technical information is used to deliver pages, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, investigate security events, understand operational performance, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use the site to serve behaviorally targeted advertising.

4. Service providers

We rely on limited infrastructure providers that may process technical information on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare provides content delivery, DNS, traffic security, and related network services.
  • Our hosting provider stores and serves the application, content, and operational logs.
  • Google Fonts may receive technical request information when your browser retrieves the site’s typefaces.

Articles may link to GitHub, downloadable files, and other third-party resources. Those destinations operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

5. Your choices

You can block or delete local storage through your browser, disable externally hosted fonts or other network requests using browser controls, and avoid following third-party links. Clearing local storage resets the site’s theme preference. Editor cookies can be removed by signing out or clearing browser cookies.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. To make a privacy request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify a request before responding.

6. Retention

We retain operational and security information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including reliability, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Retention periods can vary according to the type of record and the systems involved.

7. Security

We use measures intended to protect the site and its administration system, including HTTPS, restricted server access, secure authentication cookies, request validation, and login-rate limiting. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The site is a general-audience scientific publication and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the public site.

9. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the publication and its services evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version. Material changes may also be noted elsewhere on the site.

10. Contact
